Fantastic Beasts 2 Comic-Con Trailer Introduces Nicolas Flamel
Harry Potter fans will get more insight into the early days of the legendary showdown between Professor Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald from the upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, a new trailer out of San Diego Comic-Con promised Saturday.
Eddie Redmayne stars as Newt Scamander, whose help Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists in tracking down the evil wizard Grindelwald (Johnny Depp).

The trailer promises the return of several characters from Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, as well as the introduction of numerous new magical creatures and enigma Nicolas Flamel, an alchemist who famously succeeded in creating the Sorcerers Stone.
David Yates is returning to direct the film from a script by J.K. Rowling. Rowling was forced to defend the casting of Depp as Grindelwald after accusations of domestic violence against Depp by his ex-wife Amber Heard caused fans to call out his involvement in the series.

A new poster and trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald have been unveiled during Warner Bros.' Hall H panel at Comic-Con, offering a first look at famed alchemist Nicolas Flamel. Check it out a poster except above, and an image of Flamel in the trailer below.
Nicolas Flamel is played by 55 year-old actor Brontis Jodorowsky (The Darkness), who has been considerably aged up for the role. Flamel is famous in Harry Potter lore for being the creator of the Philosopher's Stone (also known as the Sorcerer's Stone), a large red stone of immense power that grants immortality to the user. Voldemort fiercely pursued the Philosopher's Stone in the first Harry Potter novel and film, hoping to use it to restore himself to life, so we may see Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) going after it as well. In the poster Flamel is seated next to an unknown character who is most likely his wife, Perenelle Flamel.
