      Biografía de Charlie Cardona

      Nacido un 8 de julio en la Ciudad de Bogotá, segundo de cuatro hijos. Desde niño Charlie Cardona sentía ya la inclinación por la música, por el canto. De hecho, de estudiante compartía con sus amigos, en reuniones familiares y con diferentes orquestas en reconocidos lugares de la capital colombiana.

      La oportunidad de comenzar su carrera profesionalmente, se le presenta a Charlie la misma noche en que recibe su titulo de bachiller. Esto fue en diciembre de 1985, al debutar con La Máxima de Mañungo, orquesta especializada en música folclórica colombiana, de ahí su gusto por este género, donde estuvo por espacio de dos años.

      Al poco tiempo, conoce un grupo de músicos con quienes se introduce en el ambiente salsero y a través de ellos tiene contacto con el productor y percusionista Willie Salcedo, quien por primera vez lo lleva a los estudios de grabación y se inicia Charlie Cardona cantando jingles y coros para diferentes agrupaciones.
