Jeff Calhoun (born ) is an American director, choreographer, producer and dancer. As a student at Richland High School, now Pine-Richland High School (Gibsonia, PA; North of Pittsburgh), Calhoun was interested in both athletics and performance, playing football and studying tap dance. He danced in the ensemble at The Kenley Players in Ohio in the late s where he met Tommy Tune. Tune later hired Calhoun to perform in the First National Tour of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Calhoun made his Broadway debut in the stage adaptation of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (). He also starred opposite Twiggy in My One and Only (). Calhoun’s collaboration with Tommy Tune resulted in the Tony Award for Best Choreography for The Will Rogers Follies. His Broadway directing debut was Tommy Tune Tonight! (). Calhoun began his association with Deaf West Theatre in when he directed and choreographed a world premiere adaptation of Oliver!. Calhoun continued his work with Deaf West Theater with Big River the following season. Big River subsequently played Roundabout Theatre Company’s America Airlines Theatre in on Broadway and garnered the Tony Award for Excellence in Theater. Christopher Matthews is an award winning American-born choreographer, performer, visual artist and curator working from London. Thematically, Matthews’ works are intended to be a dialogue with the audience on the subjects of spectatorship, criticism, gender, body image, queerness, working conditions, intersections of the classical and contemporary, icon vs self, pop culture and dance histories. Matthews holds a BFA from New York University Tisch School of the Arts and an MA in Choreography from Trinity Laban. His video and performance works have been presented internationally, including at the Victoria & Albert Museum, Sadler’s Wells, Art Night , Cornell University, Yorkshire Dance, Independent Dance, Thessaloniki Queer Arts Festival, Enclave Gallery, Arbyte Gallery, ]performance space[, Chisenhale Dance Space, Glasgow Gallery of Photography, Hyde Park Art Club, MonArt Digital Art, CollectArt, LimaZulu, 4BID Gallery, Mount Florida Gallery, Castlefield Gallery, Prism Contemporary, Millennium, Reykjavik Dance Festival, Cent Quatre, MCLA Gallery 51, Villa Empain, Loop Video Art Festival, and was named a Blue Chip Finalist.
